  • BJones: Mitch, I will be brewing next week. If that is good for the timeline, count me in. If that isn't soon enough, thanks for the offer.

  • scootertig: I had a few decent IPAs in Toronto from Canadian breweries, but yeah, most of the ones I've had are super old-school malty messes

  • grognerd: IP, eh?

  • hopmonster: Canadian IPA? You can just pass. Not a single one was anything less then a malt bomb.

  • mpilchuk: Guys. These are wet hops. 1 oz dry is 3.5 oz wet, so 16oz is really 4.5 ozs AND if you aren't going to use them real soon, they are toast.

  • scootertig: The 12 gallons of helles just became 6.5-ish of a koelsch-like thing. Mostly because I don't have cooling capacity for both the botched beer and the replacement re-brew that's coming.

  • grognerd: done that before, on my first barleywine.  which was a half-batch to begin with.  (brewing by the pint)

  • scootertig: You know what sucks? Finding out that you didn't close the valve on your kettle until at least 2 gallons of wort are gone, and then trying to decide if you want to make the beer you'd planned on making, or scramble and make half as much of a different beer...

  • scootertig: between that and adding flavor booster packs" of creamed corn, they could just sell it as the new DIY Rolling Rock home brewery.
