Okay, I'll be up front on this. For whatever selfish reason I just don't really like to share my recipes -- the finished beer, sure -- with people. Kinda prickish I know but hey everybody has their quirks. I guess that's mine. To get to the point, I brewed a Dead Guy clone a few weeks back in preparation for the latest newsletter that just went out last night. While I had to sub US56 b/c #1764 wasn't yet out, the beer I made is freakishly close to the real thing (I did side-by-sides, tough job) so I guess I'm gonna be a grown-up about this and share. The link to the 5 gal. AG recipe is listed here and is scaleable. Obviously I can't guarantee you'll get the exact same beer I did but seriously, this beer is freakin' poundable. I'm making more next Sunday to have for Halloween.

Interesting - I may try this batch for something else - Just wondering why it falls within the hellis/mibock category?

It doesn't -- it's a John "Maier-bock" -- meaning they are taking liberties as Rogue generally does. Spec wise it's an over-hopped Maibock (category starts at OG 64) brewed on the cooler side w/ale yeast.
