Well, for eveyone that was coming out to listen to Jay from Jay's Brewing, he had to cancel this month, but is trying to set something up for next month. Hopefully we will have him then.

Until then, we will continue with our normal meeting ;)

In the meantime I'm happy to answer questions on meadmaking as that is something we do here as well. And, as you know, Wort Hogs has a substantial number of mazers. Last month's meeting had 16 different show meads, cysers and melomels, and there may have been a pyment but I'm not sure b/c we split up the judging -- my table had cyser, melomel and a couple of traditionals.

It's kind of a shame that none of you guys came out for it b/c it was a great opportunity to try a wide variety of mead styles, many of which were good representations of their respective categories. Heck, I'm sure even Haegele could have found at least one he liked. ;)

I'll be there as well.

Wasn't aware there was anything having to do with Meads/Cysers going on at Worthogs. Was there a service announcement made about it?

We send announcements to members, or to be more exact anyone who has given us their email address and asked to be kept informed about club goings-on. I suupose another and very easy way to find out is is just to visit the homepage and click on the competition link. The schedule for the entire year is listed there so that everybody has ample opportunity to brew for it. BURP does the same thing, btw.
