Okay, so I got a little lazy. I have my next three batches ready to go. All of them are kits from MoreBeer.com :)

Pizza Port Shark Bite Red
Russian River's Blind Pig
Duclaw Vanilla Oat Stout

Going to brew them in that order starting on the 13th of December. Next I need to get a new freezer to ferment in - which is on the list. Just need to get it!

lemme know when the blind pig is ready, I'd like to see what the hop profile is like.

I've got a Baltic Porter fermenting (at Noah's), but next up will be:

1) Czech Pilsner
2) IPA - haven't made one I've been happy with in about 2 years
3) Scotch (or Scottish) Ale
4) Barleywine

Then, maybe a maibock. Of course, this list is subject to change at any time...

I've got a Tupper's clone that will be going to secondary this Saturday. .8 oz of cascades for 4 weeks and into the keg.

I racked a hard cider onto some applebutter last week. As soon as it clears up, I'm kegging it as well.

Oh.. and I oaked the last few gallons of that porter.

As soon as my March pump comes in, I plan to do my first......

wait for it.......

wait......

All grain recipe called EdWort's Haus Pale Ale!!!!

I test ran my heat stick and cooler for the sparge water tank, got the loan of an igloo cooler mash tun, and just need the pump to help move hot water around. Also trying to figure out how to tell my wife about the $200s in hoses and quick disconnects :D

Oh yeah, I will be doing a few more Mr. Beers too,

That looks like a hazard. How many coolers will that thing melt through?

Dry hopping for 4 weeks is a long time. You might want to go shorter and use more.

Just gonna follow the recipe from the NA clone brew book. What would be more reasonable? 2 weeks? I can just throw in all the cascades I have.

I have heard much shorter from 3-5 days...do it to taste, but always use a fixed duration, just change the qty if redo'ing the beer and wanting to change dry-hop character.

I dry hopped my pale ale for about 2 weeks or so. I actually don't remember how much I put in - it was a ziplock bag full of the fresh hops I grew. Not knowing what I was doing, I left them in for the full 2 weeks (maybe more?).

Honestly, they probably could have stayed longer. Or I should have used more. I was hoping for more of that in-your-face aroma. But it still tastes alright.

I might as well just transfer to keg and dryhop with the ss mesh ball.

I imagine that if you just throw pellets into beer, it'll take a while before they settle out.

Yeah, Don't go there with loose pellets as dry hop.

It's like smoking unfiltered cigarettes.

Here is a link to the heat stick I built.

The 90 deg bend should keep me from melting my cooler, first dry run went well. I can't get the water to boil, but I think I can hold the temp once boiled at 175 deg.

So my plan is to boil on my burner, then pump boiling water up to a cooler on a higher shelf with the heat stick in it to help hold at temp. Then run a hose from that cooler into my mash tun for mash and fly sparging.

Might be a go for Saturday 12/12. Still waiting on the pump and hoses.

pellets in a bag aren't terrible, but I really prefer whole hops for dry hops.

Well the Hop Rod Red came out very good, IMHO. Opinion givers are welcome to taste, just swing by.

It is a bit over-carb'ed right now. Left if at higher PSI too long, so it will take a little while to settle down. I'm going to bottle some up as well, so I'll get one (or two) to the next meeting, even if I'm not there.

Now it's time to get started on the next one :)
