Brewing Sunday, unfortunately not with the new rusty brewpot. However that did inspire me to name the back deck Rusty Bucket Brewery!
The full recipe is attached as a PDF, but the basics are;
5 lbs German Wheat
3 lbs German Pilsener
1 lb German Munich
Tentative Hops Schedule
.75 oz Hallertau Hersbruck for 60
.25 oz Saaz for 15 min
.25 oz Hallertau Hersbruck for 15 min
Mash at 152 for 60-90
Mash out at 169
Target OG 1.047
IBU 12
Wyeast 3068 Weihenstephan Weizen yeast
Looks yummy! Sorry to hear about the pot. You may want to think twice about the name - could scare some people ;)
Puppy Power Brewery :)
Anyway - looks tastey!

At DerekT's suggestion I added a protein rest at 122 for this one.
My water estimates were off this time and I ended up with about 3/4 gallon that would not fit into the boil pot.
Some friends came over just as I was transferring to the fermenter and I missed taking a gravity reading until after I added my starter.
Ended up with 1.042 (target was 1.047). I bet that the bigger pot with faster evaporation would have let me hit my numbers! ;D
Fermentation was going crazy last night/this morning and is already slowing down a bit, I think I will go give it a shake once I manage to get off the couch.

Beer carbonate a lot quicker in the summer! ;D
To keep myself from breaking into the Belgian Golden Ale I tried one of the hefes today, nice and bubbly and no obvious residual sweetness. Done after only 6 days in the bottle.
Tastes good a nice light sourness, and an interesting spicy aroma. Katherine likes it and that was the point so I guess this one was a success.
