Run, don't walk, to Norm's in Vienna if you want to check out a wild new beer. I believe it's made by Green Bullet Brewing Co.? and wow! is it hoppy. Not just in finish but with this massive lingering bitterness too. 7% ABV, IBUs unknown but ~100 is a safe bet. Massive, massive beer. Maybe call ahead (703) 242-0100 to check stock as I know that have sold out once already (not easy to get, especially in quantity).

Correction. One of my customers pointed out it's Green FLASH Brewing Co. Regardless, it sure is good -- balanced and yet intense all at once.

Swing by the Whole Foods (on Maple Ave about 3 blocks West of Norm's) too. Pricier than Norm's but always has a few that Norm either can't get or doesn't carry. Heavyweight beers are an example of good ones to try, for example. Also, a killer, killer selection of Belgians -- second only to Rick's in Alexandria who I also rec.
